Description:

Job Purpose:
The Electrical Assembler will assemble or modify electronic equipment, such as electrical control boxes and pc boards per blueprints and specifications. Our Electrical Assemblers work in a team environment. Work hours are Monday - Thursday 6:00am-3:30pm, and Friday 6:00am-10:00am with occasional overtime required and occasional Saturday.
Job Duties:
Assemble electrical or electronic systems or support structures and install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, or assembly casings, using rivets, bolts, soldering Adjust, repair, or replace electrical or electronic component parts to correct defects and to ensure conformance to specifications Clean parts, using cleaning solutions, air hoses, and cloths Read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports to determine materials requirements or assembly instructions Position, align, or adjust workpieces or electrical parts to facilitate wiring or assembly Confer with supervisors or engineers to plan or review work activities or to resolve production problems. Explain assembly procedures or techniques to other workers Fabricate or form parts, coils, or structures according to specifications, using drills, calipers, cutters, or saws Drill or tap holes in specified equipment locations to mount control units or to provide openings for elements, wiring, or instruments
Requirements:
Education and Experience Required:
High School Diploma or GED preferred Technical or vocational degrees or certificates in electrical systems and components preferred Basic electrical knowledge on wiring, routing, connecting, and testing electrical equipment Ability to use hand and power tools, soldering equipment, precision measuring tools and equipment, voltmeter, ammeter, or ohmmeter Familiar with crimpers and stake on connectors Work experience with 12/24 VDC systems Familiar with industrial safety environment and use of common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, welding helmet, glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and hard hats (BETA will provide or reimburse) Physical Requirements - using hands to handle, control or feel objects and tools, ability to read written instructions, lift and/or move materials up to 50 pounds independently, ability to stand for long periods of time Ability to work in a loud, non-temperature controlled manufacturing environment BETA offers paid time off, 9 paid holidays, medical, dental, vision, life, and short-term and long-term disability insurance.
