Job Description

Job Title:
Assembler Job Description This role supports manufacturing, engineering, operations, and shipping by performing mechanical and electrical assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of ultrasonic cleaning systems and related components. You will construct and wire ultrasonic transducers and control cabinets, perform routine testing and analysis, assist with prototype PCB work, and help ensure products meet quality and performance standards in a clean manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Support manufacturing activities by performing mechanical assembly, wiring, and all phases of product testing. Apply knowledge of supply chain processing to support manufacturing workflows and product movement. Support engineering by assembling and testing prototype printed circuit boards (PCBs), procuring electronic and mechanical components, and handling general repair needs. Support operations by maintaining office equipment and performing other general duties as required. Support shipping by creating international and domestic shipments for all major carriers and handling occasional mailings. Troubleshoot electrical failures on circuit boards and assist with electronic diagnostics. Take primary responsibility for the construction and wiring of ultrasonic transducers for ultrasonic cleaning units. Read and interpret blueprints, electrical diagrams, and schematics to ensure accurate construction and wiring of ultrasonic transducers and control cabinets. Perform routine high-potential (hi-pot) testing and impedance analysis on ultrasonic transducer arrays to verify performance and safety. Build and wire electrical control cabinets and boxes for ultrasonic cleaners, including installing timers, relays, switches, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Develop cleaning procedures for ultrasonic transducer components using in-house ultrasonic cleaning systems. Clean parts and components to support the transducer assembly team. Perform transducer repairs and minor circuit board soldering as needed. Use hand tools, power tools, and measurement tools such as tape measures to complete assembly tasks accurately. Work under established procedures while maintaining a high level of professionalism and clear communication with team members. Essential Skills Strong mechanical assembly experience, including the use of hand and power tools. Proven ability to perform electrical assembly, wiring, and basic panel building. Good soldering skills, including minor circuit board soldering and repair. Ability to troubleshoot electronic and electrical issues, including failures on circuit boards. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical diagrams, schematics, and wiring diagrams. Experience performing product testing, including hi-pot testing and impedance analysis or similar electrical tests. At least 2 years of experience and working knowledge of electronics, manufacturing, and test equipment. Possession of an electronic technical certificate. Proficiency in using computers, including MRP systems and Microsoft Excel. Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with small components, potentially under a microscope. Ability to follow detailed procedures, maintain accuracy, and complete work to quality standards. Strong communication skills and ability to maintain a professional demeanor in a production environment. Understanding of electrical safety, electrical controls, and industrial or electrical maintenance concepts. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience assembling ultrasonic transducers, ultrasonic cleaners, or similar electromechanical equipment. Familiarity with building and wiring electrical control cabinets and boxes, including installing timers, relays, switches, and PLCs. Experience with supply chain processing and production workflows in a manufacturing environment. Comfort working with microscopes for detailed assembly or inspection tasks. Experience developing or following cleaning procedures for precision components. Background in maintenance and repair of electronic or electrical systems. Demonstrated willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies, tools, and procedures. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when handling components, documentation, and shipments. The role involves frequent use of computers, MRP systems, and Microsoft Excel for documentation and production support. Work is typically performed in a production and light industrial setting with an emphasis on safety, organization, and adherence to established procedures. The environment supports close collaboration with manufacturing, engineering, operations, and shipping teams. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ewing, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
