Industrial Assembler GTI Fabrication - 1.0 Buffalo, NY Job Details Full-time $20 - $25 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Health savings account Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance Qualifications Mechanical blueprint interpretation Measuring tapes Power saws Blueprint specification interpretation Power drills Electrical schematic reading and interpretation Construction plans Continuous improvement Attention to detail Cleaning Power tools Construction experience Full Job Description Mechanical & Structural Assembly Assemble, install, and integrate mechanical, structural, and enclosure components into modular units and industrial systems Perform hands-on tasks including cutting, drilling, mounting, bolting, fastening, and structural fit-up Install hardware, brackets, frames, ducting, insulation, and related mechanical components Ensure assemblies are built accurately to drawings and specifications Electrical Assembly & Wiring Support Assist with conduit installation, wire pulling, cable routing, and mounting of electrical components Support electrical integration activities including panel installation, grounding, and basic terminations as qualified Use multimeters and diagnostic tools to test circuits and verify system functionality Troubleshoot basic electrical issues under direction of qualified personnel HVAC & Cooling System Installation Install HVAC equipment, ductwork, vents, louvers, and climate control components within modular systems Support airflow and cooling system integration activities Ensure proper fitment and secure installation of HVAC-related components Blueprint Reading & Build Execution Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, diagrams, BOMs, and written work instructions Follow standard work processes and revision-controlled documentation Maintain high attention to detail to ensure accurate system integration and quality output Tools, Equipment & Material Handling Safely operate drills, saws, grinders, impacts, and common hand tools Support material staging, movement, and work area organization Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition Quality, Safety & Continuous Improvement Follow OSHA safety standards and company safety procedures at all times Ensure work meets GTI quality standards and supports First Pass Yield (FPY) goals Identify issues proactively and escalate quality or safety concerns Support Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Continuous Improvement initiatives across the production floor Cross-Functional Support Work collaboratively with welders, electricians, fabricators, supervisors, and engineering teams Support changing production priorities in a high-mix manufacturing environment Assist with rework, punch-list items, testing support, and final build readiness as needed Required Qualifications Experience as an Industrial Technician, Mechanical Assembler, Electrical Assembler, HVAC Installer, Construction Laborer, or Manufacturing Technician Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, tape measures, and common shop equipment Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints, diagrams, and work instructions Experience with mechanical assembly, electrical tasks, HVAC installation, or industrial build work Ability to lift 50+ pounds, stand for extended periods, and work in an industrial environment Strong attention to detail, quality, and safety Preferred Qualifications Experience in modular construction, containerized systems, or energy storage product assembly Mechanical, electrical, HVAC, fabrication, or maintenance trade background OSHA training or industrial safety certifications Experience in contract manufacturing or engineered-to-order production environments Forklift, scissor lift, or material handling equipment experience preferred
Pay:
