Shift Job Description:
Seeking an individual to provide a wide variety of mechanical assembly operations on electro-mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies. This position requires skilled mechanical hand work and/or the use of automated production equipment. The individual will work with hand soldering components (wires, terminals, PCB through hole and mount).
Essential Functions:
Operate various types of manufacturing equipment (air drivers/drills, rivet guns, sanders, drill presses, etc.) with proper training. Preparation and application of various adhesive materials using a scale. Soldering of wires, terminals, splices, PCB through-hole & PCB surface mount components
IAW J-STD-001 & IPC-610.
Work with small hardware components (screws, rivets, washers, nuts) and hand tools. Inspect components and subassemblies for obvious defects prior to, during and after assembly. Check completed assemblies for conformance with quality standards. Maintain assembly & quality records/paperwork as required. Will communicate statuses and issues to the Assembly Manager. Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced, flexible production environment. Will need to work overtime as needed.
Qualifications:
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
