  • 1:30 AM, Monday through Thursday) Position Summary PDS Defense, Inc.
is seeking a Electronics & Mechanical Assembler to join our team in Owego, NY. In this role, you will perform a variety of production assembly operations on electronic and mechanical assemblies and subassemblies. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to follow technical drawings and diagrams, and a commitment to producing high-quality products in a manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Perform repetitive and non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies. Assemble components such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables. Interpret and work from diagrams, blueprints, drawings, and work instructions. Perform initial layouts and utilize hand and power tools as required. Conduct continuity checks on work-in-process and completed assemblies. Perform quality inspections in accordance with established specifications and standards. Disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. Follow all company quality, safety, and operational procedures. Requirements Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, diagrams, and instructions. Experience using hand tools and power tools in a manufacturing or production environment. Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship. Ability to follow established procedures and specifications. Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications Previous assembly, manufacturing, electronics, or mechanical production experience. Experience conducting inspections and quality checks. Familiarity with prototype or experimental assembly work. Benefits offered to vary by the contract.
