This role is a hands-on production position responsible for performing electronics assembly work while also providing day-to-day peer-level leadership, coaching, and coordination for the production team. The Lead Electronics Assembler will help ensure seamless production operations, support continuous improvement initiatives, and contribute directly to production output, quality, and on-time order fulfillment.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Overall:
Work directly on electronics assembly tasks while coordinating with supply chain and production team members to ensure production output, on-time order fulfillment, and quality metrics meet or exceed current and future production goals while maintaining a safe working environment Ø
Team Leadership & Morale :
achieve a high level of team engagement by conducting regular huddles, mentoring team members, setting the example through hands-on assembly work, and providing effective peer-level leadership to create a cohesive and aligned team Ø
Hands-On Assembly:
Perform electronics assembly work as a regular and expected part of the role, including building, inspecting, testing, reworking, or supporting production as needed to meet daily priorities Ø
Quality :
continue Doran's legacy of world class quality by maintaining and improving our tradition of low product defect rates Ø
Continuous Improvement Initiatives :
implement at least two significant process improvements or lean initiatives per year; this can be through reducing waste, shortening production cycle time, or increasing line efficiency; the results can be measured by efficiency gains or cost savings

Electronics Assembly & Production Operations Expertise:
Demonstrated hands-on experience in electronics assembly and manufacturing operations, with the ability and willingness to perform assembly work as part of daily responsibilities. Understands workflow planning, production metrics, quality expectations, and how to quickly identify bottlenecks or issues Ø
Leadership & People Development:
Peer-level leadership means this person can lead by influence and respect, not just authority. The person must be a natural coach and mentor, capable of motivating production team members, resolving conflicts, and training others. A proven track record of developing team members is key Ø
Continuous Improvement Mindset:
Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies. Consistently looks for ways to improve efficiency and quality. Demonstrated ability to implement process improvements on the fly without disrupting operations. Ø
Problem-Solving & Decision-Making:
Calm under pressure when production issues arise. Uses data and experience to make quick, effective decisions to keep production on track. Resourceful in allocating labor or re-sequencing work to meet deadlines Ø
Communication & Collaboration:
Excellent communicator who can serve as a liaison between production team members and upper management. Able to clearly report on production status, escalate issues early, and share credit with the team for wins. Also, comfortable communicating changes or new procedures to the team in a way that gathers input and creates buy-in Ø

Shows up consistently and leads by example. Respect is earned and reinforced by doing; the Lead Electronics Assembler should be known for rolling up their sleeves, working alongside the team, and assisting directly with assembly work whenever needed Ø
