Daniel Island, SC Job Details Full-time | Contract $26 - $35 an hour 9 hours ago Qualifications Schematics Wire crimpers Computer hardware Hand tools Mechanical knowledge Full Job Description About Omnisight Omnisight is a Charleston-based technology company that designs and manufactures advanced HD3D radar and AI vision products used for intelligent transportation, work-zone safety, and automated traffic analytics. We're growing and looking for a technically curious, hands-on person to help us build, configure, test, and troubleshoot our FusionSensor radar systems. The Role We're a small technology company, and this role combines electronics assembly, computer hardware, testing, troubleshooting, and production. You'll be trained on our products and processes, but we're looking for someone who can ultimately work independently, take ownership of their work, recognize when something isn't right, and help us continuously improve how we build our products. You may be a great fit if you enjoy building computers, repairing electronics, working on drones or automotive electronics, installing AV/networking equipment, or simply figuring out how technical things work. Professional electronics experience is valuable, but personal projects and hobbies count too. If you've built gaming PCs, repaired electronics, worked with Arduino/Raspberry Pi, or have similar hands-on technical experience, we want to hear about it. What You'll Do Assemble radar sensors and other electronic products using documented build procedures Install circuit boards, embedded computers, SSDs, cameras, cables, connectors, and other electronic components Perform mechanical assembly using small hand tools Configure and test completed systems using computer-based tools Perform quality checks and inspect components for defects or inconsistencies Troubleshoot basic hardware, wiring, connectivity, and configuration issues Document completed units and test results Identify problems and suggest improvements to our assembly and testing processes Assist with other technical and production activities as needed in a small-company environment What We're Looking For Hands-on experience with computers, electronics, electrical/mechanical equipment, or other technical hardware (professional or personal) Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with small components Comfortable using computers and learning hardware configuration/testing tools Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving instincts Ability to follow detailed procedures consistently Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Self-motivated and comfortable working independently without constant supervision Reliable and willing to take ownership of assigned work Experience with computer building/repair, electronics assembly, IT hardware, low-voltage/networking, AV, robotics, drones, automotive electronics, or technical field service is especially relevant. Experience with PCBs, soldering, crimping, multimeters, Ethernet/networking, Linux, Arduino/Raspberry Pi, schematics, or electronic test equipment is a plus but not required. Why Join Omnisight Work hands-on with advanced radar, computer vision, and AI hardware Build products used in real-world transportation and safety applications Small-team environment where your contribution has a visible impact Opportunity to learn multiple aspects of electronics manufacturing, testing, and product development Opportunity for increased responsibility as the company grows Clean, quiet, modern workspace on Daniel Island Complimentary coffee, soft drinks, and snacks On-site fitness facility available before or after work If you're technically curious, enjoy working with your hands, and would rather build and troubleshoot sophisticated electronic products than work on a traditional assembly line, we'd like to hear from you.
Pay:
$26.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week Application Question(s): Briefly describe something involving computers, electronics, electrical equipment, or other technical hardware that you have personally built, repaired, upgraded, installed, or troubleshot. This can be professional experience or a personal project/hobby. This is a full-time, in-person position on Daniel Island in Charleston, SC, Monday through Friday.
