Job Description

The Drop Cable Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling and preparing fiber-optic drop cable assemblies and connectivity components used in broadband/FTTx and telecommunications applications. The position requires strong hand dexterity, attention to detail, the ability to follow detailed work instructions, and consistent production quality. Your Responsibilities Assemble fiber-optic drop cables and related connectivity components. Prepare, strip, cut, route, and terminate cable according to specifications. Install connectors, terminals, boots, clips, and other cable components. Use small hand tools and production fixtures to complete assemblies. Follow drawings, work instructions, samples, and production specifications. Perform visual and dimensional quality inspections. Test completed assemblies as required. Identify damaged, improperly assembled, or defective components. Maintain accurate production and quality records. Keep the workstation clean, organized, and compliant with safety requirements. Meet established production, quality, and attendance expectations. Work effectively as part of a manufacturing/assembly team.
