Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Soldering Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, soldering, and inspecting electronic components and electro-mechanical assemblies to ensure high-quality production standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of electronics assembly, electrical schematics, and surface mount technology, contributing to the creation of reliable and precise electronic products. Duties Perform soldering of surface mount technology (SMT) and through-hole components on printed circuit boards (PCBs) following detailed blueprint specifications and schematics. Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints to accurately assemble electrical panels and electro-mechanical components. Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as ohmmeters to ensure proper electrical connections and circuit integrity. Conduct quality inspections in accordance with IPC 610 standards to verify solder joints, component placement, and overall assembly quality. Assist in troubleshooting electrical issues by analyzing schematics and performing engineering troubleshooting on assembled units. Build electrical wiring harnesses, assemble mechanical components, and support machining processes as needed. Follow safety protocols and manufacturing procedures diligently to maintain a safe working environment. Qualifications Proven experience in electronics assembly, PCB soldering, or related manufacturing roles. Strong knowledge of surface mount technology (SMT), electrical schematic reading, and blueprint interpretation. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment such as ohmmeters. Familiarity with IPC 610 standards for electronic assemblies. Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams accurately. Experience with electro-mechanical components, electrical wiring, and electrical panel building. Basic understanding of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus. Excellent attention to detail, manual dexterity, and commitment to quality workmanship.
