09/20/2026 Job Description Job Description Power Distribution Equipment Assembler Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Power Distribution Equipment Assembler to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for assembling electrical and mechanical components used in power distribution equipment, switchboards, switchgear, electrical enclosures, and related systems . The ideal candidate will have experience with mechanical or electrical assembly, be comfortable working from blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, bills of materials (BOMs), and work instructions , and have hands-on experience using hand and power tools. Responsibilities Assemble power distribution equipment, switchboards, switchgear, electrical panels, and related components. Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and assembly drawings . Install electrical and mechanical components including: Bus bars and electrical connections Circuit breakers Fuses Switches and disconnects Relays and contactors Terminals and connectors Panels, brackets, hardware, and enclosures Perform wire routing, cable installation, wire cutting, stripping, crimping, and termination. Use hand and power tools including drills, impact drivers, wrenches, sockets, torque wrenches, crimpers, wire strippers, and measuring tools. Follow specified torque requirements when installing electrical and mechanical components. Measure, fit, align, and secure components according to engineering drawings and work instructions. Perform basic quality inspections throughout the assembly process. Identify damaged, missing, or improperly installed components and report issues to the supervisor. Maintain accurate production and quality documentation. Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and manufacturing work instructions. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Assist with testing and troubleshooting of assembled equipment as needed. Qualifications 1-2+ years of electrical, electromechanical, mechanical, or industrial assembly experience preferred. Experience assembling electrical equipment, control panels, switchboards, switchgear, power distribution equipment, or similar products is highly desirable. Ability to read and understand basic electrical schematics and mechanical drawings . Familiarity with electrical symbols and components. Experience using hand tools, power tools, and torque wrenches. Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. Ability to follow written work instructions and assembly procedures. Basic understanding of electrical wiring and connections. Ability to use a tape measure and other basic measuring equipment. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods. Ability to frequently bend, reach, kneel, and work in various positions. Ability to lift and move materials/components weighing up to 50 pounds . Ability to wear required PPE and follow electrical and manufacturing safety procedures. Ability to work overtime as required by production needs.
