Electrical Assembly Technician

Summary:

ARC Specialties, a manufacturer of robotic and automated machinery has a need for an Electrical Assembler to join our team in Houston, TX. The Electrical Assembler will work closely with the engineering, assembly, and service teams to assemble electrical components for our machines. This position includes wiring of electrical control panels and integration by utilizing skills and abilities to read and analyze electrical drawings, schematics and work orders to determine and perform specific electrical machine building related activities. This is a full time hourly position with benefits. Some travel may be required to install final product in customer facilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Work well within a team. Work closely with other departments to assemble and install products. Build panels from drawings, prints, and schematics in a timely manner. Soldering wires and connectors. Panel integration into machine enclosures. Running cables in machines and terminating ends. Ability to assemble electrical and electronic systems. Power up machines. Maintain Quality of work. Ability to travel for machine installation. Maintain a clean work environment and follow company safety rules. Where proper PPE including safety shoes and safety glasses. Work hours as directed. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications:

Technical Certification/degree preferred. 3-5 years experience in electrical assembly. Mechatronics experience is a plus Ability to read and understand schematics. Must have own tools. Strong attention to detail. Able to assemble electrical and electronic systems, enclosures, components and hardware, conduits, wires, and cables. Must be skilled in measuring, hand tools, and soldering. Ability to adapt to different projects at any given time.
