2027 Spring Pre-Apprenticeship Program Electrical Technician or Fabricator Intermountain Electronics | Price, Utah Build Your Career While Earning College Credit Launch your career with Intermountain Electronics through our 2027 Spring Pre-Apprenticeship Program , offered in partnership with Utah State University Eastern (USU Eastern). This unique program combines the best aspects of an internship and an apprenticeship , allowing participants to gain hands-on industry experience while earning college credit—all with no prior experience required. Participants will choose one of two career paths: Electrical Technicians Fabricators (Welding & Fabrication) Whether you're looking to explore a skilled trade or begin a long-term career, this program provides real-world experience, professional mentorship, and a direct pathway into one of Utah's fastest-growing industries. Job Description As a Pre-Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced professionals while developing the foundational skills needed for a successful career in manufacturing and skilled trades. Depending on your selected career path, you will receive hands-on training in either Electrical or Fabrication while learning industry safety standards, quality expectations, manufacturing processes, and professional workplace skills.
Responsibilities include:
Learn from experienced mentors in a real manufacturing environment. Perform entry-level production and fabrication or electrical assembly tasks. Safely operate tools, equipment, and machinery after proper training. Follow company safety procedures and quality standards. Participate in on-the-job training and classroom instruction. Develop technical, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. Maintain professionalism, attendance, and a positive attitude throughout the program. Complete assigned projects and training objectives. Program Benefits Paid Pre-Apprenticeship $14 per hour Earn 8 applicable college credits through USU Eastern On-the-job training with experienced mentors Campus Housing and meal plan provided through the program Build valuable skills in an in-demand trade Opportunity to pursue long-term employment with Intermountain Electronics after successful completion Experience both college life and a professional career environment Working in a manufacturing facility indoors Attend classes during the workday Transportation not included 90-Day Program / 1 Semester Typical Work Schedule Monday

    6:00 AM
  • 3:30 PM (every other Friday off) Schedules may vary depending on department assignment. Program Dates January 11, 2027
