Job Title:
Electrical Assembly Technician Job Description As an Electrical Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for the complete mechanical and electrical assembly of units from start to finish. This role requires proficiency with a variety of hand and power tools, as well as a mechanical and electrical aptitude. You will need to read schematics, wire diagrams, and service manuals to build units and layout control panels. Assembly tasks include building conveyors, installing motors, and constructing panel boards. The role also involves troubleshooting and repairing components, along with assisting in various facility tasks such as warehouse operations and packaging. Responsibilities Complete mechanical and electrical assembly of units using hand and power tools. Read and interpret schematics, wire diagrams, and service manuals. Layout and build control panels without programming. Assemble conveyors, install motors, and build panel boards. Perform basic repetitive tasks and high-level assembly, including troubleshooting and repairing components. Assist with other facility tasks such as warehouse operations and packaging. Install wiring, electric components, and panels. Familiarize with and use computer software beyond Microsoft Office. Essential Skills Mechanical and electrical aptitude. Ability to read schematics and blueprints. Minimum of 2 years of experience in electro-mechanical assembly. Familiarity with computer software beyond Microsoft Office. Foundational understanding of mechanical and electrical principles. Hands-on experience with basic tools, wiring, and mechanical assembly. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to troubleshoot and repair hardware. Knowledge of assembly processes and building processes. Willingness to learn and be trained for a long-term role. Work Environment The work environment includes a climate-controlled assembly area and warehouse. The facility is a newer location, offering modern amenities. The standard work hours are from 7 am to 4 pm, with a one-hour lunch break. There is some flexibility in start times to accommodate personal needs such as childcare. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
