Job Description

Hand Solderer Performs a variety of hand soldering to all classes of assemblies, including surface mount, thru-hole, wires/modification and rework using a microscope. In addition, may perform more complex assembly operations as assigned by the production supervisor. Who are we? Founded in 1849, Ducommun is the oldest company in California. Our Facility in Appleton, WI manufactures state-of-the-art circuit boards for Aerospace and Defense as well as Industrial and Medical Industries. Job Summary Assemble electrical or electromechanical devices or components using a variety of hardware/tools. Operate a variety of equipment as needed to fulfill customer requirements. Understand and identify defects in accordance with applicable workmanship. standard and class. Perform verification tests in accordance with assembly instructions. Perform work with minimal supervision and instruction. Rework and/or repair assemblies as required. Adhere to General Requirements of Team Members. Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste. generated in their work area. Perform other assignments as required. Required Skills and Qualifications Ability to learn basic component identification skills. Ability to perform simple task utilizing work instructions. Ability to perform basic and routine repetitive mechanical assembly operations using fixtures and tools. Ability to read and follow detailed assembly instructions. Abilities listed in General Requirements of Team Members. Must be quality-oriented with attention to detail. Excellent hand/eye coordination. Preferred Skills and Qualifications Knowledge of hand soldering. Strong mechanical aptitude and dexterity. Ability to use tools and testing devices. High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
