Panel Wire Tech:
Demonstrate basic knowledge of UL 508A and 698A standards and requirements. Layout and assemble the panels to include required components. Perform drilling, tapping, and riveting activities as required. Layout location of wire runs. Follow schematics and layouts to wire panels to meet customer specifications and company wiring and assembly standards. Ensure the use of the correct wire types and sizes. Perform all crimping and lugging activities according to standards. Wire custom electrical panels working from schematics. (
Note:
This is not point-to-point wiring.) Operate a wide variety of small hand and power tools. Read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings and wire components and equipment consistent with standards in a neat and orderly fashion. Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move over 50 pounds. Identify and apply required labeling. Place panels in enclosures as required. Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc. Communicate any safety, quality, process or procedural improvement suggestions to the Lead Technician. Keep work area clean and organized.
Qualifications:
1-2 years experience as a Control Panel Wirer / Builder Previous manufacturing experience Ability to work independently #
