Primary Purpose:
Machine Trailer Assembler performs multiple tasks using a variety of hand-held tools, pneumatic/power tools and manufacturing equipment. Machine Trailer Assemblers build component assemblies as well as install and assemble trailers on a production line.
Job Description:
Perform installation of axles, tires, wires, lights and other components per work order and factory specification. Ensure clean and accurate fitment. Adhere to safety standards. Maintain clean work environment. Test equipment for proper functionality. Perform, and remember how to perform, multiple manual assembly tasks from day to day.
Qualifications:
Able to lift 50lbs. Able to work with hands and to work on mechanical tasks by following supervisor's instruction. Able to operate a variety of hand tools (i.e.: drill, hole saws, screw guns, pliers, etc.). Able to perform repetitive motions (i.e.: bending, climbing, standing, stoop, etc.). Ability to communicate effectively in English. Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
Education/Certification:
High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required. Other Duties as

Other duties could include working in other areas to provide support during absences or shortage of staff.

Working Conditions:
Extensive walking, standing, and/or climbing; heavy lifting and carrying, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching. Work outside and inside; work around machinery with moving parts; work around moving objects or vehicles; exposure to dampness and humidity; exposure to slippery and uneven surfaces.
Safety:
Comply with and enforce company policies and safety regulations. Initiate and maintain proper and necessary safety equipment as prescribed by law. Operate tools, equipment, and machinery according to prescribed safety procedures. Follow established safety procedures and techniques and perform job duties including lifting, climbing, etc. Correct unsafe conditions in work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to supervisor immediately.
