Temp-to-Hire Position Summary A growing manufacturing company in Carlsbad is seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Assembler to join its production team. This temp-to-hire opportunity is responsible for assembling small precision components, operating basic assembly tools and equipment, and performing quality inspections to ensure products meet established standards. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, have strong attention to detail, and are looking for long-term career potential. Key Responsibilities Assemble small mechanical components by following work instructions, diagrams, and production procedures. Use hand tools, benchtop fixtures, and basic assembly equipment safely and effectively. Position, align, and fit delicate parts with precision and accuracy. Conduct visual and mechanical inspections throughout the assembly process. Maintain quality standards and identify any defects or inconsistencies. Support production goals by working across multiple assembly stations as needed. Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and production output. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Previous assembly, manufacturing, production, or related experience preferred. Strong manual dexterity and ability to work with small parts. Ability to read and follow technical instructions, work orders, and assembly documentation. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality. Dependable with strong attendance and reliability. Positive attitude and ability to work effectively in a team environment. Physical Requirements Frequent use of hands and fingers to handle small components and assembly tools. Ability to remain seated at a workstation for extended periods. Strong close vision and depth perception for detailed assembly and inspection work. Ability to maintain focus while performing repetitive tasks in a production environment.
