Job Description

Mechanical Assembler Job Purpose:
Assemble Electro-Mechanical Assemblies per specifications and inspect complex electrical/electronic subassemblies or assemblies.
Nature of Duties:
? Read, comprehend, interpret & follow basic work instructions, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, & other written instructions. Follow established procedures to accurately assemble products ? Assembles components by mechanically fastening parts and subassemblies ? Mechanical type assembly using hand tools and power tools ? Working with various sized materials from heavy parts to small intricate parts ? Identify product defects and report on to appropriate personnel ? Keep accurate records/logs etc. ? Handling of ESD sensitive materials and equipment ? Perform other related duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
? High School Diploma or equivalent required ? 1 - 2 years experience, training is provided ? A strong mechanical aptitude. ? Experience with hand tools such as ratchets, wrenches, battery and pneumatic operated tools. ? Ability to stand for long periods of time, safely lift up to 20 pounds on a regular basis and ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds (with assistance if required). ? Basic computer skills - email, work instructions. ? Attention to detail. ? Good command of the English language, both written and verbal.
Physical Demands:
Required to sit and/or stand for extended periods in a manufacturing environment; talk and hear in person; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
