We're seeking a multi-disciplinary candidate who is self-motivated and is able to set and meet goals. The Electro-Mechanical Assembler II will perform various assemblies, subassemblies, testing of Tracking Mounts and other technical equipment. Employee will assemble final product using blue prints, complex assembly drawings, schematics, work instructions and diagrams. Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Assembly and Integration:
  • Assemble and install various electromechanical components within the trailer and onto tracking mounts, including wiring harnesses, control panels, lighting systems, braking systems, sensors, actuators, and other technical equipment.
  • Mount and secure components onto tracking mounts, ensuring proper alignment, fit, and functionality.
  • Assemble final product using blueprints, schematics, work instructions and diagrams.
  • Position and fasten units to assemblies and subassemblies, including those related to tracking mounts.
  • Position and align parts, using fixtures, jigs, and templates.
Wiring and Electrical Connections:
  • Connect and install electrical wiring and harnesses.
  • Use hand and automated tools to cut wires to specific lengths, strip insulation, and crimp terminals to create secure connections.
  • Inspect and test the assembled harnesses to ensure they meet quality standards and perform as expected
  • Meticulously assemble wires, cables, and connectors into a harness according to design specifications, often using specialized machinery or by hand.
Maintenance and Repair:
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on electrical, mechanical, and electro-mechanical systems.
  • Repair or replace damaged or malfunctioning components. Testing and Calibration
  • Calibrate and configure components to meet specified requirements.
  • Test for mechanical reliability and inspect, test, and adjust completed units to ensure they meet specifications, tolerances and customer order requirements
Measurements and Quality Control:
  • Measure dimensions/clearance of parts to determine tolerances using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and veneers.
Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
  • Setup, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair custom-designed manufacturing and test equipment.
  • Hand tools (wire strippers, cutters, crimpers, soldering irons).
  • Automated machinery for cutting, stripping, and crimping.
  • Test equipment for electrical verification.
Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including, work order, repair reports, and test results.
  • Maintain and complete all necessary reports legibility and in a timely fashion.
Collaboration and Communication:
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors, reporting progress and any issues encountered.
  • Communicate progress of repair with direct supervisor.
Flexibility:
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing work schedules.
  • Must be flexible to work overtime and travel when needed.
  • Must be flexible to work in different environments (rain, cold weather, etc.).
  • Physical requirements can include lifting, carrying, standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, and pushing or pulling objects.
Other duties and projects as assigned by management.
Requirements:
Education:
  • High School Diploma and five-years related experience preferred
  • An associate's degree or a postsecondary certificate in electro-mechanical technology or related field is preferred.
Skills:
  • Experience with electrical and mechanical systems, including wiring, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
  • Experience with common mechanical hand tools.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics.
  • Ability to use hand tools and diagnostic equipment effectively.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to working with electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Soldering per IPC 610 and knowledge of AS9100 procedure a plus.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, automation, or related industries is preferred
  • Mechanical assembly of platforms, frames, custom enclosures. Slight part modification/fabrication as needed
  • Learn product usage and application through system testing
  • Prepare and create final product for shipment Physical Requirements include:
  • Ability to frequently stand, walk, use hands and reach with hands and arms.
  • May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
Comfortable working in lab, production floor, and field environments, including outdoors at test ranges
Pay:
$30.00 - $38.00 per hour
