Job Description

Assembler, Electro-Mechanical/Dark Room Summary :
Under general supervision working in a dark room environment, tones, inspects and measures component lights to specification.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs assembly as well as complex and repetitive wiring to produce complete sub-assemblies and final assemblies of product. Work to standard operating procedures, bill of materials, manufacturing information, and instruction from supervisor or Engineering to established procedures. Responsible for visual inspections of material before and after assembling. Uses various fixtures, gauges, and assembly tools to assemble, adjust, or repair product. Checks electrical/mechanical performance of completed assemblies to ensure compliance to Quality standards and makes necessary adjustments when required. Reports irregularities or equipment malfunctions. Adheres to all environmental, health, safety rules and regulations, and work instructions. Maintains equipment and performs housekeeping duties as necessary. Responsible for contributing to the implementation and ongoing use of continuous improvement standards. Uses the principles of 5S to ensure a clean and organized work area. Performs other duties as required.
Skills/Qualifications:
Minimum of one-year experience in a manufacturing environment and/or six months' assembly experience. High school diploma or GED preferred. Must have good eye sight without or with corrective lenses. Computer skills a must. Working knowledge of the mechanical, electrical, and safety procedures of a manufacturing facility preferred. IPC 610 Certification a plus Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, or standard work instructions. Must have authorization to work in the United States. English speak/read/write

$17.00 - $19.00 per hour
