Description Brad Foote Gearing, a division of Broadwind, is seeking an Assembler to join our team in Cicero, IL. This is a second shift position, Monday - Friday, with overtime as necessary. Come join our team!

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Build subassemblies using the cranes, press, and oven

Responsible for assembling and matching various types of gearing

Check the Route Sheet and blueprints for the operations and instructions

Clean parts at the wash tank

Assemble bearings with proper preload or end play

Fabricate lube systems using hard pipe, tubing and hoses

Run test enclosed drives using related measuring equipment

Paint enclosed drives to customer specifications

Maintain department equipment in good working order

Safe operation of various types of fork lifts

Record required data on the proper forms as needed during the assembly process

All other duties as assigned Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Academic/Experience/Credentials/Certifications High School diploma or equivalent education Specialized Skills/Knowledge/Ability Able to read blueprints

Be familiar with the operation of micrometers, dial indicators, and other measuring devices

Use basic hand tools

Basic shop mathematics

Read, understand and explain the contents of his/her Standard Operating Procedures
