Franklin Park, IL Job Summary A global leader in industrial energy systems is seeking a Mechanical Assembler for a custom fabrication shop. You will build, assemble, and install heavy metal structures and boiler products from blueprints. This role offers long-term career growth, a family-oriented team environment, and high overtime earning potential. Key Responsibilities Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and structural layouts. Assemble machinery, fabricated metal products, and components using hand and power tools. Perform structural MIG welding, cutting, bending, and shaping of sheet metal. Connect assemblies using rivets, rolls, soldering, steel screws, and fasteners. Conduct quality checks on finished work and document production logs. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace while collaborating across departments.

Qualifications and Skills Experience:

Proven mechanical assembly experience in a heavy manufacturing environment.

Technical Skills:

Strong blueprint reading and structural blueprint interpretation skills.

Welding:

Practical experience with MIG welding and general industrial welding practices.

Tool Proficiency:

Expert use of hand tools, power tools, precision tape measures, and shop machinery.

Attributes:

Strong mechanical aptitude, basic math skills, and flexibility to adapt to design changes.

Work Environment Setting:
