Job Description
PROMAN Staffing is seeking a Mechanical Assembler for Quickset Defense Technologies in Northbrook, IL. We are looking for dependable, mechanically inclined individuals who enjoy hands-on work and have experience using hand and power tools in a manufacturing or assembly environment. Position Summary The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling mechanical components, subassemblies, and finished products according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality standards. This role requires the safe and effective use of hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment to ensure products are built accurately and efficiently. Responsibilities Assemble mechanical components, assemblies, and systems according to specifications and blueprints. Use hand tools including screwdrivers, wrenches, socket sets, pliers, Allen keys, and torque wrenches. Operate power tools such as electric screwdrivers, drills, impact drivers, grinders, and other assembly equipment. Verify proper fit, alignment, and functionality of assembled components. Inspect finished assemblies to ensure quality standards and customer requirements are met. Identify and report defective materials, equipment issues, or assembly discrepancies. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing processes. Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and production goals. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous mechanical assembly or manufacturing experience preferred. Experience using hand tools and power tools. Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shift. Must be able to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs regularly. Ability to work in a manufacturing and assembly environment. Skills Mechanical assembly experience Hand tool proficiency (screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, socket sets, torque wrenches) Power tool operation (drills, electric screwdrivers, impact tools) Problem-solving and troubleshooting Teamwork and communication Strong attention to detail Compensation & Schedule ✅ $20.00 per hour ✅
