This position requires recent hands-on machinery experience, mechanical aptitude, accurate measurements, and the ability to safely handle pipe and operate industrial equipment. Training is provided on specific pipe fabrication equipment. Key Responsibilities Move loose and bundled pipe throughout the shop and yard. Assemble pipe orders, including individual pieces and bundles. Keep work areas and supplies organized. Set up and operate machinery used for pipe fabrication. Measure, record, and accurately calculate random pipe lengths. Measure and cut pipe using band saws or torches. Thread and bevel pipe using Landis machines. Perform quality checks using gauges and measuring tools. Follow safety procedures for fabricating, cutting, assembling, stacking, and shipping pipe. Operate powered industrial equipment according to OSHA guidelines and company procedures. Inspect and maintain forklift equipment. Sort and shift pipe ranging from ½ to 10. Work independently while also contributing effectively to a team. Required Qualifications 68 months of recent machinery experience. 68 months of mechanical experience or mechanical background. Recent experience operating machinery such as: Pipe threaders Band saws Roll groove machines Plasma cutting equipment Automatic welding machines Pneumatic banders
