CNC Machine Operator/Assembler Contract to

Hire Shift:

1st Shift - 6am-6pm - 12

Hour Shifts Pay Range:

$22.00 To $24.00 POSITION

OVERVIEW

This individual will report to our Group Lead and will perform a wide range of tasks in manufacturing including but not limited to machining parts, making and inspecting sub-assemblies as well as final assemblies of all of our roller and slide guide products. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Performs work in a manufacturing environment emphasizing teamwork, safety, quality, productivity and cost improvements. Follows standardized work procedures and work sequence for each process. Works with their team to improve standardized processes / methods, identify waste, methodically eliminate waste and standardize the new process / methods. Directly responsible for performance of duties within assigned work area. Completes all working documentation, records and reports as requested. Adheres to all company policies and procedures. Be proactive and reactive to resolve abnormalities in the process. Performs other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

JOB QUALIFICIATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Background and Skills Required:

High School Diploma or GED 1 year of manufacturing experience or equivalent mechanical training/aptitude/experience Ability to use hand and power tools Ability to communicate and work well with others in a group environment Demonstrated ability to work in cooperation with other team members towards building a sense of teamwork Desire to proactively identify and make suggestions for continuous process improvements Basic math skills and measurement skills Ability to work 12-hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM including some weekend hours

Additional Background and Skills Preferred:

Experience in a manufacturing environment 1 to 3 years of experience operating CNC machinery Experience in reading blueprints and using applicable measurement tools and gauges such as calipers and micrometers Experience deburring parts

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

This position is contract to hire. Requires frequent walking or standing up to 85% of the day up to 12 hours a day Requires repetitive hand motion 100% of the time Lifting and pushing 45% of the time Must be able to lift 25-50 lbs. and up to 70 lbs. with assistance Hearing and visual acuity are required for this job 100% of the time Speaking is required 85% of the time
