Job Description
Machine Operator or Assembly All shifts available Start asap Weekly pay Job Description This role involves performing basic assembly and machine loading for printed circuit board technology, including the set-up and operation of automated solder machines in accordance with established quality standards. Responsibilities Perform basic assembly of printed circuit boards, including Through-Hole Pin Connectors, following established work instructions and quality standards. Load materials into machines and operate automated solder equipment to support printed circuit board production. Set up automated solder machines using computer interfaces, ensuring correct parameters and programs are selected. Use basic computer skills to navigate software, input data, and monitor equipment operation. Read, recognize, and interpret customer and internal prints, work instructions (WI's), visual aids (VA's), and bills of materials to ensure accurate assembly and processing. Apply enhanced IPC inspection knowledge to verify part placement, solder quality for reflow and through-hole components, and overall printed circuit board integrity. Inspect printed circuit boards and components for damage, defects, or nonconformances and take appropriate action as directed. Perform final assembly inspection to confirm that assemblies meet all quality and documentation requirements. Handle both leaded and lead-free printed circuit assemblies (PB and PB-free PCA) in accordance with handling and safety guidelines. Essential Skills Ability to perform basic assembly work, including Through-Hole Pin Connector assembly. Basic computer literacy and comfort using computers to set up and operate automated equipment. Ability to read and interpret customer prints, internal drawings, work instructions (WI's), visual aids (VA's), and bills of materials. Enhanced IPC inspection knowledge related to part placement, solder inspection for reflow and through-hole, printed circuit board and component damage, final assembly inspection, and PB/PB-free PCA handling. Strong computer skills and knowledge to support equipment operation and production documentation. Ability to stand for up to 10 hours straight to perform production and assembly tasks. High school diploma or GED. Previous experience in manufacturing or production is preferred but not required. General labor experience and soldering exposure are beneficial, especially for candidates interested in electronics manufacturing. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Holland, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $17.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
