Job Title:
General Production Worker Job Description We are seeking a dedicated General Production Worker to join our team in the Cabinets department, where you will play a vital role in building the insides of the signs. This position requires a mechanically inclined individual with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities Build the insides of the signs in the Cabinets department. Utilize hand tools and drills effectively. Operate a nail gun and other hand power tools. Perform medium to heavy lifting tasks. Assemble and palletize shipments. Pull, pack, and load materials. Demonstrate strong teamwork and communication skills. Maintain attention to detail in all tasks. Essential Skills 2+ years of mechanical assembly experience in manufacturing. Proficiency in using a tape measure and power drill. Capability to lift 50lbs repetitively. Additional Skills & Qualifications General labor experience. Mechanical and mechanical assembly skills. Work Environment Work in a warehouse environment with large signs and parts in different stages of development or ready for shipment. The facility is not temperature controlled, resulting in cooler conditions during winters and hotter conditions in summers. It is a clean and large facility divided into manufacturing, shipping/receiving, assembly, and testing areas. Dress code is casual with appropriate jeans and t-shirts. Safety glasses with side shields and hearing protection will be provided, and steel-toed boots are required. Enjoy a 30-minute unpaid lunch break and two 10-minute paid breaks. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Warren, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
