In this role, you will assemble specialized mechanical units, perform light fabrication, and contribute to standard assembly operations. We are looking for someone who enjoys hands-on mechanical work, takes pride in quality craftsmanship, and thrives in a continuous-improvement, clean workshop culture where small daily enhancements make work safer and more efficient. Key Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical, electrical, and structural components following production guidelines.
- Fabricate mechanical and textile parts (cutting, drilling, bending, deburring, and light fitting).
- Inspect incoming parts and completed assemblies to ensure high standards of quality and functionality.
- Identify and implement small, daily process improvements ("2-second lean" improvements) to enhance safety and efficiency.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized shop floor environment (5S practices).
- Assist with inventory, material handling, and general shop duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using hand, pneumatic, and power tools.
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately and follow written/verbal work procedures.
- Solid problem-solving skills, high attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.
- Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs and stand/move throughout an 8-hour shift. Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in manufacturing, mechanical assembly, or automotive repair.
- Familiarity with basic fabrication tools and metal/textile processing equipment.
- Exposure to lean manufacturing concepts or continuous improvement practices.
