Overview:

Produces components by assembling parts and sub-assemblies. Knowledge of controls and instrumentation, equipment maintenance, manufacturing experience, mechanical inspection tools, tooling, and safety with emphasis on quality and efficiency. Previous assembly or manufacturing preferred, but not required.

Job Duties:

• Prepares work to be completed by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists
• Gathers and prepares parts, sub-assemblies, tools, and materials
• Completes cleaning of parts following inspections of parts and pre-assembly
• Aptitude to correctly position and install parts and sub-assemblies by using templates or reading measurements
• Verifies specifications by measuring completed components
• Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and sub-assemblies
• Coordinates with Engineer Team to resolve assembly problems
• Keeps equipment operational through maintenance and troubleshooting
• Maintains safe and clean working environment
• Documents actions by completing production and quality forms
• Maintains accurate time logs of labor hours per work order Must be able to:
• Understand and carry out oral instructions
• Read and carry out simple written instructions and technical documents
• Read work orders, scrap tickets, job lot tickets, graphs, logs, schedules
• Read and interpret detailed prints, sketches, layouts, and specifications
• Identify and list production data
• Prepare detailed records and reports
• Estimate size, form, quality, and quantity of objects
• Inspect products and equipment for defects
• Perform basic arithmetic
• Use measuring devices including tapes, gauges, micrometers, and calipers
• Plan and schedule movement of materials or products
• Operate forklifts, flat beds, tractors, overhead cranes, and hoists
• Use hand and power tools
• Lift up to 50 lbs
• Stand, bend, walk, and reach for extended periods of time

$25.00
