Mechanical Assembler | Build Custom Equipment, Learn Brazing & Grow Your Skills! Are you someone who enjoys working with your hands, building things, and seeing the finished product come together? This Mechanical Assembler opportunity offers a chance to develop valuable fabrication and brazing skills while working on custom-built mechanical systems in a team-oriented manufacturing environment. Every project is different, giving you exposure to mechanical assembly, copper pipe fitting, brazing, blueprint reading, fabrication, and testing. Whether you have experience in assembly, construction, plumbing, manufacturing, automotive repair, or farming equipment, this role provides an excellent opportunity to expand your skill set and advance your career. What You'll Be Doing Assemble custom mechanical units and refrigeration rack systems from start to finish. Cut, measure, and fit copper piping and insulation using hand tools and tape measures. Perform brazing with an oxyacetylene torch to connect copper piping. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions. Build and install unit housings according to customer specifications. Work with a small team to complete complex assemblies in a fast-paced production environment. Assist with fabrication projects, including MIG welding opportunities when applicable. Maintain quality standards and follow all safety procedures. What Makes You a Good Fit? Mechanical assembly Construction or skilled trades Manufacturing and production Plumbing or pipe fitting Machine operation Automotive or equipment repair Farm or agricultural equipment maintenance Welding or fabrication Preferred Qualifications Experience reading a tape measure accurately. Familiarity with hand and power tools. Ability to read blueprints and schematics. Brazing, welding, plumbing, or fabrication experience is a plus. Strong attention to detail and reliability. Ability to stay active throughout the day, including bending, kneeling, lifting, and moving between workstations. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ramsey, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
