Job Overview A Snapshot of Your Day As a Blend/Dress Operator, you will support the precision manufacturing environment of the Gas Turbine (GT) Rotor Machining department by ensuring the precision finishing of component parts and assemblies. This is a detail-oriented, hands-on role well suited for individuals who take pride in quality assurance, component blending, and operational readiness. You will work closely with machining operators, quality inspectors, and team leads to identify, locate, dress, blend, and deburr parts to total compliance with drawing requirements. The role focuses on precision finishing, equipment maintenance, and safe material handling. Attention to detail, technical interpretation, and a safety-first mindset are key to success. How You'll Make an Impact Identify and dress component parts to meet exact engineering specifications and strict quality standards. Perform blending and deburring on complex assemblies using specialized rotating and pneumatic hand tools and grinding abrasives. Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain shotpeen and deburring machinery to maintain smooth production flow. Interpret blueprints, technical work instructions, and electronic drawings to ensure parts meet precise tolerances. Utilize a variety of measuring equipment and gauges to conduct quality verification and inspections. Safely operate material handling equipment, including overhead cranes and forklifts, to load, unload, and transport products efficiently within the work area. Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient work area while strictly adhering to safety protocols, equipment guarding, and PPE requirements. What You Bring High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience with rotating and pneumatic hand tools. Proven ability to work from electronic drawings, blueprints, and technical work instructions. Ability to obtain and maintain a Critical Crane License and Forklift License within 6 months of hire (training provided). Ability to pass standard health screenings, including hearing, vision, and physical fitness tests. Ability to obtain an ACT® WorkKeys® National Career Readiness Certificate (Silver Level or higher) as part of the pre-hire assessment (Siemens Energy will assist in scheduling the test upon shortlisting). Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to quality standards and manufacturing best practices. Work Environment Must be able to stand for extended periods in a manufacturing setting. Exposure to noise and heavy machinery is expected.
