Job Description

Aerotek is immediately hiring a 1st shift Mechanical Assembler for a premier industrial manufacturing company in Swedesboro, NJ. We are seeking mechanically inclined candidates who are ready for their next exciting opportunity! Job Description Study and interpret assembly instructions, assembly blueprints, and bill of materials. Position parts and subassemblies correctly and interpret measurements accurately. Verify specifications and assemble components ensuring all parts are fitted and screwed properly. Resolve assembly and production issues, troubleshoot malfunctions, and perform necessary repairs. Ensure the working environment is clean and safe. Check shop stock to ensure inventory is replenished and complete quality control forms. Essential Skills Mechanical Aptitude Experience in manufacturing and mechanical assembly Proficiency in using hand and power tools Ability to read or work from drawings and prints Attention to detail Additional Skills & Qualifications High School/Technical School diploma or equivalent work experience Some electrical aptitude is a plus Ability to be flexible and multi-task Reliability in on-site attendance and willingness to learn and be cross-trained Ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, in English Willingness to work overtime and occasional Saturday shifts to meet production delivery times Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment is an environmentally friendly shop and warehouse location with cement floors, daylight, and seasonally adjusted temperatures. It includes overhead cranes and constantly moving fork trucks. Welding arcs occur occasionally, and there is exposure to paints, solvents, degreasers, adhesives/sealants, and oil. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Swedesboro, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
