Position Summary:
We are seeking a Pipe Fabrication/Yard Associate with recent hands-on machinery and mechanical experience. This role involves cutting, threading, beveling, assembling, measuring, and moving pipe within a shop and yard environment. Candidates should be comfortable operating machinery, using tape measures and gauges, and working around large pipe and powered industrial equipment. Must-Haves 68 months of recent machinery/mechanical experience Experience with machinery such as: Band saws Pipe threaders Automatic welding machines Roll groove machines Plasma cutters Pneumatic banders 36 months of forklift experience Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure Experience using gauges for quality checks Mechanical aptitude Ability to work in a hot, non-air-conditioned environment Ability to handle and sort pipe ranging from ½ to 10 Responsibilities Move loose or bundled pipe throughout the shop and yard. Assemble pipe orders, including individual sticks and bundles. Set up, operate, and maintain pipe fabrication machinery. Measure, record, and calculate random pipe lengths accurately. Cut pipe using band saws or torches. Thread and bevel pipe using Landis machines. Operate powered industrial equipment according to OSHA and company safety procedures. Inspect and maintain forklift equipment. Follow safety procedures for fabricating, cutting, assembling, stacking, and shipping pipe. Maintain organized work areas and supplies. Perform quality checks using measuring tools and gauges.
