  • $31.00/HR Full-Time Permanent Position with Benefits Seeking an experienced Mechanical Assembler / Machine Builder / Mechanic for a leading manufacturing firm in the Youngstown, Ohio area. In this role, you will assemble complex, high-tech mechanical equipment, aligning heavy machinery, reading blueprints, and ensuring strict precision tolerances. Responsibilities
  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications to determine precise positioning of compressors and engines on skids.
  • Verify dimensions, squareness, and calculate layout reference points to perform skid leveling.
  • Pour concrete mounting areas and build dikes to apply epoxy bases for compressor footings.
  • Operate overhead cranes to safely position and mount heavy compressors and engines onto sub-bases.
  • Level machinery using precision instruments, including Brunson transits and Ottoline lasers.
  • Utilize thermal expansion techniques to fit couplings onto compressors and engines.
  • Clean, inspect, and mount pressure vessels onto skids to prepare assemblies for piping.
  • Work within tight manufacturing tolerances using micrometers (inside/outside), calipers, and precision instruments down to thousandths of an inch.
  • Document dimensional details on blueprints or construct layout drawings for team reference. Requirements
  • Technical school certificate, 3 to 6 months of directly related machine building/assembly experience, or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience.
  • Ability to measure accurately to the nearest thousandth using calipers, micrometers, and optical/laser leveling tools.
  • Ability to calculate ratios, percentages, fractions, and basic geometry/dimensions.
  • Capability to read safety rules, manuals, and schematics, and communicate effectively with team members. Benefits
