Job Description
Mechanical Assembler Job Description The Assembler plays a key role in building high-quality products by accurately interpreting drawings, work instructions, and parts lists to assemble mechanical components. This position involves using a variety of hand tools, air tools, and small power tools to perform assembly operations, as well as handling materials and parts throughout the production process. The role requires careful visual inspection and testing to ensure all finished units meet strict tolerances and customer specifications.
Responsibilities:
Interpret drawings, work instructions, and parts list to assemble components Positioning, aligning, fastening, and assembling parts using hand tools, air tools, and small power tools Performing operations such as drilling, press assembly, burnishing, washing parts, magnetizing, soldering, or encapsulation depending on product line Visually inspecting and testing finished units to ensure they meet tolerances and customer specifications Using micrometers, calipers, and verniers to verify tolerances Pulling parts for assembly, loading components onto the line, and placing finished units into bins or boxes loading and unloading trucks Use an overhead crane and/or forklift to move partsQualifications:
Experience with operating both an overhead crane and a forklit Blueprint reading experience Mechanical skills and previous experience within assembly is a plus Strong job tenure-long job stints Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Erie, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $34.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
