$18-$22Shift:
1st Shift 8am-4:30pm Monday-Friday Responsibilities Set up and operate a plasma cutting machine to cut stainless steel plate products according to specifications. Read and interpret basic drawings and shop prints to determine cutting requirements and dimensions. Use tape measures and other basic measurement tools to verify dimensions and ensure accuracy of cuts. Build skids to properly support and secure steel products for storage and transport. Operate a forklift safely to move raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products throughout the facility. Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet dimensional and quality standards. Handle and position metal and steel materials, including loading and unloading onto machinery and skids. Apply mechanical aptitude and basic fabrication knowledge to support cutting, bending, pressing, and other metalworking activities as needed. Essential Skills Minimum 3+ years of experience operating a plasma or water jet machine in a metal or wood shop environment. Proven ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently. Ability to read and interpret basic drawings and shop prints. Strong measurement skills, including accurate use of a tape measure and basic measurement tools. Basic understanding of mathematics relevant to measuring, cutting, and fabrication. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in fabrication, including cutting, bending, pressing, and working with metal and steel components. Exposure to laser cutting or similar metalworking machinery. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pottstown, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
