Help for Job Description. Opens a new window. Mechanical Assembler - 1st Shift 6AM-2:30PM Monday-Friday
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret assembly blueprints or specifications manuals and plan assembly or building operations.
- Inspect, operate, and test completed products to verify functioning, machine capabilities, or conformance to customer specifications.
- Verify conformance of parts to stock lists or blueprints using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges, or micrometers.
- Fasten or install piping, fixtures, wiring, and electrical components to form assemblies or subassemblies using hand tools, rivet guns, or welding equipment.
- Layout, drill, ream, tap, or cut parts for assembly.
- Rework, repair, or replace damaged parts or assemblies.
- Assemble systems of gears by aligning and meshing gears in gearboxes.
- Set up and operate metalworking machines, such as milling or grinding, to shape or fabricate parts.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years experience assembling large machinery
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and mechanical ability
- Ability to read blueprints and follow verbal instructions
- Ability to read inspection equipment
- Assembly techniques with focus on the following: Pneumatics, laser alignment, Bills of Material, CAD file reading, rigging, and other assembly-related tasks
- Must be self-motivated team player and have a strong work ethic.
- The ability to work independently
- Must have some personal hand tools such as sockets and wrenches.
- Willing to work overtime, including some Saturdays when requested.
Pay Details:
