Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Electric Motor Winder to join our growing team! The ideal candidate will have experience with data collection and rewinding of AC/DC electric motors, rotors, magnet and brake coils and related electrical components. Verification and testing of rewinds by core loss, hi pot, surge, induction, impedance, and Meg-Ohm. Documentation of process and attention to detail is a must. Responsibilities Identify the type of equipment needing repair such as AC/DC Motors, armatures, rotors, coils, etc Document the external data associated with the equipment or winding. Diagnose and/or test the equipment for malfunctions, failures or damage using diagnostic equipment such as megger, hi pot, motor analyzer, AC or DC test panels and related equipment. Identify and document internal winding data. Convert internal winding data per EASA guidelines. Utilize available core test equipment and programs to determine core viability and proper heat dispersion. Perform and document final electrical and mechanical test results of the winding, insulation and connections. Perform final testing and documentation. Wind electric motors according to specifications and schematics Collaborate with service technicians to troubleshoot and resolve motor issues. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. Participate in team meetings to discuss project updates and safety protocols. Requirements 3+ years of proven experience in electric motor winding Proficiency in using hand tools and understanding of schematics Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Willingness to learn new techniques and adapt to changing technologies.
