Job Title:
Mechanical Assembler III - 1st Shift Job Description The Mechanical Assembler III supports full mechanical integration and main unit assembly by performing precise mechanical and light electromechanical work. This role focuses on final assembly, including crimping, pulling, terminating, and installing components, using hand and power tools to install hardware and secure doors on units while following detailed instructions under close supervision. Responsibilities Perform full mechanical integration and main unit assembly according to written instructions and established procedures. Use hand tools and power tools, including drills with multiple drill bit sizes, to install hardware and securely fasten doors and components on units. Carry out crimping, pulling, terminating, and installing of mechanical and electromechanical components as required. Follow detailed work instructions accurately and consistently to complete final assembly tasks. Work under direct, close supervision and accept frequent monitoring and feedback on work quality and output. Inspect own work for accuracy and completeness, demonstrating strong attention to detail during final assembly. Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and support smooth workflow on the assembly line. Apply basic problem-solving skills to identify and communicate issues with parts, tools, or assembly processes. Maintain a clean and organized work area and handle tools and equipment safely. Support related mechanical assembly tasks as needed to assist the broader production team. Essential Skills At least 1 year of experience in mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly. Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions accurately. Hands-on experience using hand tools for mechanical assembly. Experience using power tools, including drills and related equipment. Ability to use different drill bit sizes to install hardware and secure doors or similar components. Strong attention to detail, particularly in final assembly work. Demonstrated problem-solving ability in a production or assembly environment. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Comfort working under direct, close supervision with frequent monitoring of output. Why Work Here? Work Environment This is a 1st shift position with a normal schedule of Monday through Friday, 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM. You must be available to work scheduled Saturdays and some Sundays as required, and this weekend availability is an essential condition of the role. The work takes place in a light industrial production environment focused on mechanical and electromechanical assembly, where you regularly use hand tools and power tools such as drills. The setting is team-based and supervised closely, with frequent interaction and feedback to support quality and productivity. The facility includes an employee recreation center with cornhole, ping pong, and a basketball court, providing a comfortable and engaging space for breaks and downtime Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Memphis, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
