We're looking for a Mechanical Assembler to join our growing manufacturing team and play a key role in assembling high-quality window units used across the country. 🏗️ What You'll Do As a Mechanical Assembler, you'll be responsible for assembling and finishing window units while ensuring every product meets strict quality standards. ✅ Assemble window units using hand and power tools ✅ Install brackets, fasteners, clips, and hardware components ✅ Perform caulking and sealant testing to ensure product quality ✅ Paint material ends and work with insulation materials ✅ Inspect finished products for assembly defects and quality issues ✅ Wrap, net, and prepare completed units for shipment ✅ Safely handle large glass panels and sheet metal components ✅ Assist with sub-assembly operations and outdoor material testing as needed ✅ Meet production goals while supporting multiple areas of the manufacturing process 🔍
What We're Looking For Required Qualifications:
3+ years of mechanical assembly, manufacturing, fabrication, or construction experience Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions Experience using hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices Strong troubleshooting and quality control skills Ability to accurately read a tape measureBonus Skills:
Computer proficiency Installation or fitting experience Positive attitude and strong communication skills Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to cross-train Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chester, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
