Job Description
Mid-Level Mechanical Assembler $21-$24/hr | Direct Hire | 6am - 4pm M-Thurs About the Role This experienced mechanical assembly role builds custom conveyors and related product-handling equipment. You will work from blueprints, use hand and power tools, and assemble quality equipment on schedule in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is not an entry-level or supervisory position. It is a hands-on opportunity for someone with three to five years of meaningful experience in conveyor manufacturing or a related industry such as packaging equipment, heavy trucks, or OEM manufacturing. You will focus on turning wrenches, solving assembly challenges, and supporting the team without personnel-management responsibilities. Key Responsibilities
- Assemble custom conveyors and related mechanical equipment
- Work closely with a Mechanical Assembly Lead and one to two entry-level assemblers
- Read blueprints and follow written and verbal assembly instructions
- Use hand tools, power tools, assembly tools, and fixtures safely and accurately
- Measure components using a tape measure and confirm proper fit and placement
- Adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Work independently and as part of a team to complete quality equipment on time
- Apply mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving throughout the assembly process
- Maintain a safe, organized work area and support a team approach to problem-solving Required Qualifications
- Three to five years of applicable experience in conveyor manufacturing or a related industry such as packaging equipment, heavy trucks, or OEM manufacturing
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on assembly experience
- Ability to read blueprints
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure
- Ability to follow instructions and adapt to a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Ability to stand, bend, and occasionally climb a short ladder for at least eight hours per day
- Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to work a minimum of 40 hours per week
