COO POSITION SUMMARY
This position filters, prepares and processes the flow of orders through the digital print and finishing areas while recording data and optimizing consumables usage. This position is responsible for efficiently producing orders in conformance to customer expectations, optimizing OTD and customer satisfaction. This position sets up and operates both the digital web and sheet fed printing and finishing machines as necessary.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS
Setup, monitor, and operate digital printing and finishing systems as necessary. Utilize graphic (Illustrator), RIP and press software to generate press ready files and optimize press parameters. Reviews and interprets job tickets, proofs, drawing, customer supplied samples and prepares and creates press proofs or press checks. Examine job orders to verify quantity, material, variable data, embellishments, colors, and special instructions. Request, schedule and verify that materials are available prior to printing as necessary. Submit consumable requests as necessary Monitor print and finished product quality (ink coverage, density, alignment, and registration). Load machines with materials and make adjustments, according to type, width and thickness. Ensures that daily, weekly and monthly machine maintenance is performed. Keep daily production and ink usage logs. Creates and maintains customer production records, printed samples and color values. Perform other related duties as required.
EQUIPMENT/ COMPUTER SKILLS
Experience Computer aided design software, query software and manufacturing software and MS Office Experience using a variety of tools (i.e., Scale, Calipers, Spectrophotometer, Densitometer, etc.) Experience in performing service routines and preventative maintenance.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
High School Diploma or Equivalent required. Knowledge of machine and tools. Knowledge of color management Knowledge of production and processing. Must be able to read and understand English. Must have excellent math and measuring skills. Must be detail oriented and an active listener. Must be able to lift 50 lbs Must have the ability to order all necessary materials Must have visual color discrimination Must be Arm-Hand Steadiness, Manual Dexterity and Finger Dexterity

The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
