Job Description

Description:
Position Summary Responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of machinery to produce precise metal components according to work orders, blueprints, and quality standards, ensuring efficient production flow and safety compliance. Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Process Monitoring & Control:
Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment such as robotic welders, laser machines, etc.; ensure processes are running within defined parameters and adjust settings as needed.
Software:
Sigmanest, Mazatrol, Flex3
D, Arctool, Roboguide and WeldPro Machine Operation:
Set up, program, run machines when necessary to cut various materials
Material Handling:
Load/unload raw materials (sheet metal, tubing) using forklifts or manually
Maintenance:
Perform routine equipment checks and minor maintenance and coordinate with maintenance department for major repairs
Collaboration:
Work with supervisors and other team members to meet production goals.
Production Support:
Troubleshoot equipment and process issues to minimize downtime; assist operators with setup, changeovers, and optimization of production runs.
Quality/Safety Assurance:
Inspect components to ensure compliance with specifications and identify defects, involving Quality Manager to implement corrective actions; follow all safety procedures and OSHA guidelines and ensure proper handling of materials and use of
PPE Requirements:
Qualifications 2+ years proven experience in manufacturing and operating machinery Knowledge of metal forming and fabrication/welding processes and operations Basic level of PLC troubleshooting preferred Ability to communicate effectively Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail, good hand/eye coordination and problem-solving skills Knowledge of safety protocols Proficiency with measuring tools; ability to read blueprints, work orders and technical drawings
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Fast-paced manufacturing environment, requiring adherence to strict safety guidelines Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Standing, walking, bending, and lifting and moving materials. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move medium- to heavy-weight components up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
