Job Description

Operates automatic and manual chemical process equipment of varying complexity in various production processes in accordance with operating procedures. Equipment includes mixers, filter presses, dryers, filtering equipment, pumps, and filling machines. Performs quality control analyses as required to complete in-process batches and identifies variations. Processes may generate high pressure and/or critical reactions and requires training in hazardous material handling and emergency procedures. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Know and follow general company and corporate policies and procedures. Know, understand, and follow department policies and procedures. Operator will be responsible for the application of rubberized mask and using provided engineering requirements. Operator will be required to lift and move parts using proper lifting and material handling practices. Must have manual dexterity to use hand tools and razor knifes in a safe manner. Report to work on time, follow instructions from supervisor or management, interact well co-workers, understand and follow work rules and procedures. Crosstrain in other departments as well other processes within the same department. Other various duties as needed or as assigned. Education and Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should possess basic computer proficiency and functional knowledge with applications and activities including (but not limited to): Language Skills Ability to read and write the English language. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Other Qualifications Must be able to work in standing position up to 10 hours and be able to work in a hot/cold environment Must be proficient in basic shop math and computer experience. Must be safety oriented. Must be able to work in a team environment and be shift flexible. Must have excellent hand eye coordination.
