Hours 7am-3:30pm
JOB SUMMARY
: The Wire Cutter cuts wire and cable with the use of machines, and ensures the accuracy of the cuts.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
The requirements listed below are representative of the essential duties required: Loads, measures, cuts, spools, and bundles wires and cables appropriately for the job orders. Fills production orders according to the type, length, and size requested. Verifies that all equipment is working properly. Escalate issues to production supervisor as needed. Clean and maintain work area and equipment. Other duties as required.
LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY
Employee works under general supervision. Employee has little or no decision-making responsibility. The employee has little or no impact on the decisions of others.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
: None.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
Ability to follow directions and work well in a team. Ability to quickly learn production equipment. Ability to follow proper safety protocols. Position does not require any previous experience working with office software.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
No formal education is required. 0-1 year experience in a manufacturing setting. No previous training required.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those encountered while performing the essential functions of this job. Physical Demands/Efforts Dexterity to work with small components required. Occasional physical exertion including the lifting of objects up to 25 pounds. Able to sit or stand for extended periods of time (3-4 hours). Mental & Visual Demands Work is routine and consistent from day to day. Work requires some degree of visual effort for periods of time. Visual acuity to work with small components. Work Environment and Hazards Some areas of the building are not climate controlled. Some exposure to heat, dust, or other factors of minor inconvenience. Some exposure to hazards that might cause minor injury.
