Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Laser Engraving, 3D Printing, and Product Design Specialist to join our new innovative manufacturing team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in laser engraving technology, additive manufacturing, and product development to create high-quality custom products and prototypes. Your hands-on skills in machine operation, design interpretation, and fabrication will drive the transformation of concepts into tangible, precision-engineered items. Responsibilities Operate laser engraving machines with precision to produce detailed designs on various materials, ensuring quality and accuracy. Manage 3D printing processes using advanced additive manufacturing techniques to develop prototypes and final products. Collaborate with product designers to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and manufacturing specifications. Utilize CAD software such as SolidWorks for designing and modifying product components before fabrication. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of laser engravers, 3D printers, CNC machines, and other industrial equipment to maintain optimal performance. Select appropriate materials for projects based on mechanical properties, durability requirements, and aesthetic considerations. Ensure compliance with safety standards in production environments while operating machinery and handling materials. Requirements Proven experience with laser engraving technology, including familiarity with Fanuc or similar CNC control systems. Strong knowledge of 3D printing techniques, including filament-based (FDM) or resin-based processes. Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks or equivalent for product design development. Hands-on experience with CNC programming (CAM programming), CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, press brake machines, stamping presses, and other manufacturing equipment. Ability to read mechanical blueprints and interpret production documents accurately. Mechanical knowledge combined with shop math skills for precise measurements using calipers, micrometers, micrometers, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and other precision measuring instruments. Familiarity with shop safety standards in manufacturing environments and industrial equipment troubleshooting skills. Experience working within a manufacturing or factory setting with materials handling, assembly line operations, packaging, and quality control practices.
