Full Job Description Laser Operator Education/Experience Minimum:
A high school degree or GED equivalent is required and 2 years of experience operating a CO2 Laser.
Preferred:
Secondary education/Training in Graphic Illustration and or Manufacturing Technical Training Major Responsibilities Program & Operate Laser Cutting Machines. May need to operate multiple machines at once in a high volume, fast-paced environment. Perform layout/Job set up to assure cost effective utilization of equipment. Maintain proficiency in the use of software programs. (Corel Draw, and others) Maintain an extensive working knowledge of production equipment. Ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and safely, meeting scheduled due dates. Thoroughly inspects completed project to guarantee superior quality. Universal Tasks and Responsibilities Ensure work area is clean, organized and safety focused. Ability to accurately read through designs and pay attention to details. Must follow all company safety policies and procedures. Exhibits and promotes behavior indicative of effective team functioning. Assist with all production tasks, as needed. Performs any other task or assumes any additional responsibility to facilitate the manufacturing process or better the company. Competencies Strong attention to detail to maintain the highest standards of quality production. Comfortable with change in a variety of situations. Ability to read and understand Drawings, Blueprints, and Work Orders A positive attitude and willingness to do whatever it takes to complete the project. Use various measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, feeler gauges, etc. to measure parts. Skills Able to professionally work with verbal contracts. Allocates resources efficiently and in an organized manner. Accomplishes tasks thoroughly with regard to all details. Expresses ideas and listens to others effectively. Can establish priorities and a course of action for meeting multiple needs of the organization. Strong ability to work with your hands.
