Job Description
Under the direction of the Supervisor, Production, this position provides for the efficient processing of materials as may be required to satisfy customer orders. Responsible to unload materials in preparation for processing and to re-load materials upon completion. Matches and applies components per specific instructions, to include applying and encoding RFID/Security devices and protective coverings to materials. Responsible to perform other duties of equal or lesser classification irrespective of required change in department, hours (including mandatory overtime) or work conditions as directed by supervisor. Responsible for regular, dependable attendance and punctuality. Maintain safe, clean and organized work areas. Cross training and substitution of tasks that may be of higher classification as required by supervision. High school diploma or equivalent and a relevant amount of experience as a Processor III or equivalent experience. Capable of performing at an advanced proficiency level of competence within production standards of efficiency and skill of Processor III. Finger dexterity and ability to measure and read a ruler. Ability to read and follow written or verbal instructions, accurately count and have good eyesight. Flexible to make appropriate decisions regarding safety in handling materials and respond to changing work environments. Ability to work/communicate effectively and respectfully with co-workers and to adhere to Brodart rules, policies and standards of conduct. Must be able to work in a production environment that may be subject to varied temperatures and other conditions, such as noise (conveyor), dust and glue or adhesives. Must be able to stand/walk for 8 hour shifts and possess the ability to frequently bend and lift 35 lbs and up to 50 lbs occasionally and push book trucks weighing several hundred pounds. This position is subject to scheduled overtime which may be required based on production needs.
