division is currently seeking a Operator I (3rd Shift). The hourly rate for this position is $21.07 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. ## What you'll do: The Operator I's role is responsible for operating and monitoring manually fed punch press equipment within the Fabrication department and comply with all safety policies and procedures.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Comply with all safety policies and procedures, including wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment
  • Perform job duties in a manner that follows Eaton Quality standards and systems
  • Fabricate parts according to drawings, routings, and work instructions to determine necessary parts and fixtures and obtain material from stock areas
  • Set and adjust fabrication materials and equipment and perform quality checks using measuring equipment and or templates
  • Cross-train in other areas of the department and train new- hire operators on operating presses
  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work areas using Eaton's 5S procedures
  • Perform other duties, as assigned by supervisor
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds and stand throughout working shift and work overtime as needed.

Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED from an accredited institution is required
  • Must not be on a written or a final written warning
  • Employees can apply and be awarded a new role but must have a minimum of 6 months service time in their current role before moving to the new role
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience operating a press
  • Experience working with precision-measuring equipment (e.g., calipers, tape measures)
  • Experience with Mapics/SAP (remove Mapics in July) computer systems
  • Ability to interpret drawings and/or blueprints
