BASIC FUNCTION

This advanced utility position assists the flow of production on the shop floor by performing an array of support duties including backup production, material handling, machine servicing, off-line machine operation and production-related paperwork.

MAJOR DUTIES

Use forklifts or other moving devices as necessary to retrieve, handle or transport materials, devices or other provisions on the shop floor Supply tools, parts, or other materials to production workstations as needed Load material into machines as directed by routings & other instructions. Act as operator backup, off-load, assemble, trim or package product per routing or BOM instructions Operate off-line support equipment per routing or other detailed instructions, as assigned Assist with the setup, organization, preparation or housekeeping of work area(s) during the shift Assist with the dismantling of machines or work area cleanup at the conclusion of production runs Perform rudimentary preventive maintenance on machinery as assigned Process production-related paperwork as directed Evaluate product and process for conformance to quality and routing standards Maintain clean workstation throughout each shift Understand and follow quality-related standards and documentation Determine proper disposition of non-conforming product as required • Punctual and regular attendance is an essential responsibility of each employee at P1 Technologies • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of department-specific machine operation, work processes and procedures required Must be able to operate computers required for this position Must be able to coordinate hand/visual process, i.e., demonstrate proficient hand/eye coordination as required Must be proficient in linear measurement & basic math and be able to convert fractions Must be able to work with the pressure of deadlines and handle detailed, repetitive work with patient concentration Must be comfortable with on-the-job training, cross-training, and training other assemblers Must be able to work as a team-player as well as independently, exploring and sharing ways to improve efficiency Must be able to read, comprehend and carry out simple, but detailed instructions and drawings, both written and oral Must be detail-oriented: accurate, consistent, thorough, neat, able to recognize material damage/flaws, punctual Must maintain clean work area and demonstrate commitment to workplace safety Five-foot, eight inch (5', 8") minimum height requirement (Custom Molding only)

EDUCATION

High School Diploma or equivalent instruction preferred

EQUIPMENT USED

Computers, department-specific equipment, various hand-held tools including ruler, forklift (stand-up or sit-down), ladders, rolling stairs, etc. Other equipment may be assigned

Requires good hand/eye coordination, occasional use of foot pedal, use of fine manipulation with hands and fingers, close/color vision, minimal fumes, moderate noise, ability to lift up to 65 pounds, bending, stooping, ability to work at varying heights, standing most of the time.

Pay:

$18.00 - $21.00 per hour
